(March 4, 2009 -Portland, Maine) At their March 4th meeting, the Low Impact Hydropower Institute's Governing Board determined that three projects had achieved Low Impact Hydropower Certification, those projects are:
The Summersville Project, FERC No. 10813, and the Pawtucket Project, FERC No. 3689, both continue to meet the Low Impact Hydropower Certification Criteria. In reaching its decision to re-certify the Pawtucket Project, the Low Impact Hydropower Institute's Governing Board reviewed the applications for certification, as well as the Application Reviewer's reports. The Board's vote to re-certify both Projects was unanimous. Both Projects were re-certified for for five years. The third Project
The Institute's Governing Board also determined that the third project, Ware River, meets the LIHI Certification Criteria. In reaching its decision to certify the three projects, the Low Impact Hydropower Institute's Governing Board reviewed the applications for each certification, as well as the Application Reviewer's reports.
